Regent’s University London

Regent’s University London is London’s only independent, not-for-profit university, with a highly cosmopolitan community based in the leafy royal Regent’s Park and historic Marylebone.

You can study either UK or American-style degree programs in a wide range of fields, including business and management; liberal arts; film, media and performance; psychology and psychotherapy; fashion and design.

The majority of our lecturers have extensive industry experience and many are still active within their areas. Class sizes never exceed 25 students, which ensures a lot of interaction with these industry experts, as well as with your peers. The focus in the classroom is on practical learning and professional development, incorporating the latest skills sought after by employers.

Our campus

Our campus is within easy reach of all that this world capital has to offer. We are close to the centre of London and the city’s famous theatres, galleries and museums, as well as major sporting and entertainment venues.

Regent’s is small and intimate enough to feel like a ‘home away from home’. With fewer than 5,000 students on campus, you get to know your tutors well, and you will benefit from plenty of one-to-one contact.

We are proud to have students of more than 140 nationalities on campus, as well as many students on Study Abroad trips from our prestigious partner institutions. Many of our own students also spend a time abroad, gaining experience of other cultures, languages and work practices. We encourage you to take classes in any of nine economically important languages, and you will also have plenty of support and teaching if English is not your first language.

We actively encourage all students to undertake internships and work experience, and our careers advisers are on hand to advise and support you in your career goals. Many of our graduates go on to build successful international careers in a range of industries, as well as becoming entrepreneurs, starting their own companies, or returning to ensure the continuing success of family businesses. A higher than average number of our graduates move into graduate-level jobs, with starting salaries that compare very favourably with other UK universities.

Facilities

We know how important it is to have comfortable and conveniently located housing when you are studying in London. We will assist you in finding somewhere to stay, either by arranging a place for you in University-managed housing or by helping you find somewhere in the private sector.

Our halls of residence are set in the beautiful leafy grounds of the Regentʼs Park campus. In partnership with urbanest, Regent’s also offers rooms at a variety of price points. Located next to an idyllic British canalside, urbanest St Pancras is a short walk from King’s Cross and Camden Town.

We want to make sure you get the most out of every moment as a student at Regent’s. You will find plenty of opportunities here to socialize, relax, exercise, be creative and get involved. As well as the many activities on campus, you will be ideally placed to explore all that London, the UK and Europe have to offer.

Whatever you need help with, your first stop should be the Regent’s Student Hub. The staff can assist you with many queries. They will also connect you with the experts within Regent’s who can help with any issues you may have, whether they are personal, academic or financial.

Library
The University Library Service gives you access to around 55,000 books, a wide range of academic and professional journals and online resources. There are dedicated spaces for studying, including group-study rooms and silent study areas for independent learning.

Sports
We encourage our students to be active and healthy. We offer a varied range of fitness sessions include yoga, pilates, boxercise, zumba, resistance and high-intensity training. There is a multi-use games area for five-a- side football, tennis and basketball, and we have competitive polo, fencing, volleyball, football and basketball teams.

The University has a partnership with Regent’s Place Health Club, situated close to campus. The club offers extensive gym facilities, personal training and a wide range of studio classes, plus a sauna, steam rooms, hairdresser and café bar.

Regent’s interior design students work to real briefs

The Regent’s Interior Design programme uses the real-world experience and connections of its staff to create compelling briefs for the students to hone their craft. The best of this work was showcased in a public exhibition at the University’s Marylebone Campus, and then at the Truman Brewery in Brick Lane as part of the Interior Educators show.

Mark Gower the previous head of the Interior Design programme, said:

Model UN students set the world to rights

The fourth Youth Model United Nations Conference (MUN) was held at Regent’s University London from 2-3 July 2017. This event, the largest held at the University so far, brought more than 180 scholars and teachers together to debate critical world issues.
